How to make a old car running?
«

Hi
Just bought an XJ3.4. Very good deal. Know nothing about the Jags.
Anyway it has been stood for 5 years in a garage. Can anyone help- what are my first steps to getting it running.
I was going to start with:
1. New Battery
2. Drain any petrol and put in new petrol
3. Drain oil and fill oil
4. Try and start it
Are there any other things I should do?
Thanks
Saul

Get a tune up from a professional, is what I would suggest. Have a mechanic look over it for any problems.
