How to keep spare tyre under vehicle

Any suggestions on how to cope with a spare tire stored underneath vehicle?  I'm shopping for an SUV and it seems that all of the mid-size and larger SUVs store the tire underneath the SUV. 

I have bad knees and can't be crawling around on the ground, searching for a tire. 

Any suggestions (besides having a spare tire loose, rolling around in the back)?

I've seen a lot of SUVs that have them attached to the trunk door. Maybe you can install a holder like that. Otherwise, you could try to tie it to the bottom of a seat in the car.
