I've road on my customs wheels for about a year now and I've recently noticed the steering wheel shaking at about 80 mph. I have the wheels rotated and balanced and still the steering wheel shakes at around 80 mph. It get weirder.....this also happens around 60 mph. Between 60+ and 78ish the wheel does not shake. 80+ the steering wheel stops shaking. Alignment is fine. What is my problem? I love this car - but this is driving me crazy!

Have you guys checked control arm bushings?
Do you have a metallic sound?
