First X-Type: the jury's still out

With my eye on getting an X-Type at the end of the year, I've been doing as much research as possible, including joining this forum. Main two main quibbles are head height (which I'd have to put up with) and reliability.

I have owned a 2002 x-type for 3 years now, and aside from a few minor fixes, it has been absolutely bullet-proof.
I would certainly buy another one if I were in the market.
