I just bought a 97 xj6 VDP 85K green/tan, my first jag and a reward for some hard work. It only came with one key for the ignition and door, but not the valet or the remote key. Any idea on a good place for a valet key and roughly what price? But more so the remote; is this something special tuned only for my car? What model number or style would I ask for? Can a used one from another xj6 97 be reprogrammed for my vehicle? Cost?
I know I could go to a dealer but just had a sour experience with a jag dealership, so I feel like I'm on my own looking for parts on the internet or something similar.
