Please help. I have bought a Jaguar S-Type recently, and the user manuals are in German language. I would apreciate any help with the English version. I found on the Internet and downloaded the complete Repair CD Manual for all types of Jaguars. I can offer this to anyone interested. Thank you.

I do have German version as well, but why do you need it? Repair manual provides much more info, however, the German language manual has some pics - you sure can follow these Wink

Thank you for your reply. I am a user (driver) only. My knoledges in repairing stuff are limited. So the user manual would be more usefull for me, as I am novice in Jaguar automobiles. Anyway I managed to figure out most of the stuff by pictures, as you said. But, for instance, I have some problemes with some fuses (some stuff does not work) and I didn't find the schematics in Repair manual.
Anyway, I found very usefull your indications about changing the display language and I want to thank you for that.
I must read carefully this forum and maybe I shall make some progress in understanding this car.
Do you think that a fuel consumption of 15.5 l/100 km  (city only, very crawded) is a normal one? I have a S-type from 2001 with 3.0 l engine, 100.000 km on bord.
Thank you. Florin

Fuel consumption really depends on your driving style. If you do a lot of fast acceleration and breaking in traffic it will be higher than normal.

To make sure it is not affected by small side effects, check this checklist:

1.) Check the engine revs when the engine is idling in Park mode. Does engine revs go up and down or it's pretty static

2.) When you do accelerate the speed, does the engine work smoothly without revs going down?

3.) When the last time the engine spark plugs were changed? And intake manifold seals as well as boss seals and ignition coils (if any failure)

4.) What fuel are you using?

The Jaguar web site has all the handbooks.
Follow the links from the front page for ownership, then owners and technical information. You'll end up here -
http://www.ownerinfo.jaguar.com/extfree2viewjagprod/index.jsp
and if the link works, select your car, model and download the manual you want.
Hope this helps.
