Hello everyone!

I have a 2001 S-type and I got a black grill insert so I wanted to paint the chrome surrounding, the same color as my car. Does anyone have tips for striping the chrome off the grill?

THANKS!!!

you really dont need to strip it i was told you can just light sand it to scuff it then primerand wet sand that and the paint should stick. My buddy painted his grill like that but i'l be honest i really didnt like it. you should paint the black part of the grill  the color of your car and leave the chrome that might look sharp depending on the color car.. But make sure you scuff the chrome pretty good then use real fine sand paper to make it even and smooth
