Memory seats.

Hi. Any ideas where to look to find the fault with the memory seats control panel. When trying to reprograme the seat position , once i have gone through the proceedures and press the number button , no beep is sounded and the indicator light does not go out. Hence the new position is not saved . Would it be in the door panel or elsewhere.
