S-type 5R55N Ford transmission

OK folks, if you are experiencing missing 4th and 5th gear and after reading the computer 734 and/or 735, and solenoid C codes - the problem is due 4-3 pre-stroke valve spring on 5R55N transmission.

The replacement spring can be ordered from two suppliers and I do not suggest using OEM brand as it's built incorrectly.

Also remember, it costs less than 25$ for the spring. You do not need to remove full transmission in order to change it. Watch out that you dealer is not cheating and charging you extra for transmission removal and fix.
