I bought the Jaguar XK coupe about a month ago, but previously considered the BMW and drove it on several occasions (including in the city and on the freeway). I think there is no comparison. The Jag is stunningly beautiful and turns heads like no other car I have seen (recently, I drove past a Ferrari, Porsche and Bentley that were parked in front of a hot local restaurant--everyone pointed and stared at the Jag as it went by, not even noticing the other cars). By comparison, the BMW looks a bit plain, clunky and dated. Believe me, once the Jag pulls up next to the BMW, no one will notice the BMW, and its driver will know it immediately. In terms of performance, the Jag offers a fabulous, thoroughly enjoyable driving experience. It is quick, the transmission is the best I have ever seen and the ride is very smooth. I thought the BMW provided an excellent ride as well (perhaps a bit quicker, but not significantly so), but did not have as smooth or fast of a transmission. As for the interior, it's no contest, the Jag takes it in terms of appearance, comfort and ease of use. The touch screen on the Jag gives it a big edge. Jag is the best
