The new Jaguar XK model review
The Jaguar XK is a classic in the Jaguar family. It owes its long life to a classic look of style and elegance. The engine for the 2008 model year is a 3.5l V8 with 258 HP. The Jaguar’s grill is inspired by the 1961 Jaguar E-type. The new XK includes a first in car technology, a PDBS system. PDBS stands for Pedestrian Deployable Bonnet System. This system uses sensors on the car to determine if the car has hit a pedestrian. If the car has hit a pedestrian, the car will fire two pyrotechnical charges that will push the bonnet of the car up. This will protect the pedestrian from hitting their head on the extremely hard engine block. While the bonnet of the car is not a pillow, it will end up saving lives of pedestrians who would of previously died. The car also sports anti-lock disc breaks with oversized discs to make sure that you can come to a safe stop.

The XK has soft grain leather in the luxury package that comes in a handful of colors. The new XK does have a few flaws however. These include subpar acceleration, which could be a problem when you consider the XK is known for its sports car appeal. One rather shocking note about the safety of the vehicle is that it does not include side curtain airbags. Also, the backseat is merely for show and is not meant for actual use. The touch screen in the car requires more of a push than a touch. However, the antenna is now hid inside the spoiler for the 2008 model year XK. With the XK being fully redesigned last year, this car is nearly perfect and it will show. At 75,000 USD, you have to enjoy this great price for this great car.
